Oak Level is the name of the
little community closest to our home here in Western Kentucky.
There are indeed plenty of oak trees, but it can’t be
considered level in any way whatsoever. For over one hundred
and fifty years my ancestors have lived out their entire lives
within this rolling landscape of fields and hardwood forests. I
myself was born and raised here, but unlike them, I have
traveled much of the world over, only to find where I truly
belonged was Oak Level….of course.
Only here, amidst the
serenity of these rustling leaves, was I able to hear my
calling. I was given a strong arm and an eye for beauty. I was
handed down the traditional tools and skills I needed to put
both to good use as an Artist Blacksmith. Now the smoke from
the forge rises in the sky each morning bearing my gratitude
along with it. The anvil’s clear ringing answers the forest as
I do my work. I hope to share some of the beauty and happiness
that my wife Judy and I have found here, with you….
Welcome to Oak
Level Forge.
Make yourself ‘ta home. |
